Quarter 1, Week 7 - Communicative Styles Part 3

Image
Communicative Style was our topic last week in English. We didn't have a meeting in week 7 because it's a holiday. The communicative style focuses on the use of different communication styles  for various situations. I learned that there are Types of Communicative Styles such as Casual, Consultative, Formal, Frozen, and lastly Intimate. I don't find our topic and activities hard. The highlight of our discussion is the type of communicative because it reminds me that I should use all the communicative styles  based on the person who I'm talking to.   Opening Prayer... Let's bow our heads and feel the presence of our Lord. Heavenly Father, Thank you for this another day. Guide our teachers and classmates. May no one lose their Internet connection. Bless our teachers who continue to teach us during the pandemic. I hope we can learn a lot today. Bless our meeting. Amen.                                                              https://youtu.be/_RO6XxMOURA Closi

I don't find our topic and activities hard. The highlight of our discussion is the  type  of communicative style which is the word intimate. It reminds me that sharing Intimate  conversations with your family and friends is really important because it shows how you care about your relationship with them. This video contains the different types of Communicative Style and examples on each type.

Conditionals were our topic in week 4 English, Grade 9. It’s easy to catch up with our topic. We also talk about Joanne Rowling, the creator of Harry Potter. I finished all my activities and I don’t find it difficult.  I learned that Conditionals are used in expressing stands, arguments, exchanging conversations and opinions. We also have types of conditionals such as zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, and third conditional. We also tackled Figure in Speech in Focus like Irony. I don’t find it hard. The highlight of the discussion is the word Irony. The irony is an example of a figure of speech, meaning statements or situations that reveal a reality that is different from what appears to be true. First Conditional If I am a writer, I will write a book about… Second Conditional If I was born during the Spanish period, I would… Third Conditional If I had possessed superpowers, I would have…
